A red henna dress with a square neckline and a square yoke set with round mirrors in gold embroidery, the mirror work continuing across both sleeves to broad embroidered bands with a narrow green accent and a fringed cuff edge. An embroidered waistband sits above a full gathered skirt. A deep gold border of mirror medallions runs around the floor-length hem, finished with a green and gold stripe. So the yoke and sleeves sit as they should, it is custom tailored to your measurements.
Every piece is made from scratch, so the details are yours to choose. Ask for any of these when you request a quote.
Every piece starts with a consultation at the studio in Officer, where we talk through the design, the fabric and your date. We take your measurements and cut to them, then fit the piece once or twice before it is finished.
Typical timeline: Four to eight weeks, depending on the embroidery, mirror work and trims. Bridal gowns need three months.
Bring the shoes and undergarments you will wear with it, so the length and fit are set correctly.
Made in the fabric you choose, for example a cotton blend, a crepe or a raw silk. Mirror-set and embroidered pieces are dry clean only, and the dress is best stored with tissue between the embroidered areas.
