Women
Traditional Afghan women's clothing made to measure in Officer: Kuchi and Pashtun dresses, embroidered frocks, chapan coats and matching pieces for Melbourne's Afghan community.
HMN's family tradition is Afghan, and traditional Afghan clothing is where our work began. We make women's Afghan dress to your measurements: Kuchi dresses with mirror work and coin trim, Pashtun embroidered frocks with matching shalwar, Hazaragi dresses, chapan-style coats, waistcoats and matching scarves.
Every piece is cut by hand and finished with the embroidery, beading and trims that make each regional style what it is. We will advise on the right fabric for the occasion, whether it is a wedding, Eid, Nowruz, a mehndi night or a family photograph, and on how the garment should sit and move.
Clients come to the studio from Dandenong, Cranbourne, Officer, Pakenham and across Melbourne's south east, and many families return for every celebration. For our dedicated gallery of Afghan dress styles, see the Afghan dresses page. Every garment is custom made and quoted on request.
