A black Kuchi dress worked in pink, orange, green and blue threadwork, with a square embroidered yoke set with small white diamond mirror panels and a tiny loop at the centre front of the round neckline. Long straight sleeves carry embroidered motifs on the upper arm and wide embroidered bands at the cuff, and the skirt gathers from an embroidered waist seam. Small scattered motifs cover the full skirt, which builds into deep embroidered borders and two ruffled tiers edged in pink zigzag trim at the floor-length hem. Every tier and band is custom tailored to your measurements.
Every piece is made from scratch, so the details are yours to choose. Ask for any of these when you request a quote.
Every piece starts with a consultation at the studio in Officer, where we talk through the design, the fabric and your date. We take your measurements and cut to them, then fit the piece once or twice before it is finished.
Typical timeline: Four to eight weeks, depending on the embroidery, mirror work and trims. Bridal gowns need three months.
Bring the shoes and undergarments you will wear with it, so the length and fit are set correctly.
Made in the fabric you choose, for example a cotton blend, a crepe or a matte polyester. Embroidered and mirror-set pieces are dry clean only, pressed on the reverse to protect the threadwork.
