Men

Vests and waistcoats tailored to fit

Custom men's vests and waistcoats tailored in Officer for weddings, suits and traditional dress, in matching or contrasting cloth. Serving Melbourne's south east.

A well-cut vest pulls a whole outfit together, whether it sits under a suit jacket, over a perahan tunban, or on its own at a wedding. HMN tailors men's vests and waistcoats to your measurements in suiting wool, tweed, velvet, brocade and linen, single or double-breasted, with the lapel, pocket and back style you choose.

We fit the vest so it covers the trouser waistband without riding up, with the right length at the front points and a clean line through the chest. Adjustable backs, lining choices and buttons are chosen with you, and matching vests for groomsmen are cut from the same cloth and scheduled together.

Clients from Officer, Dandenong, Pakenham, Cranbourne and across Melbourne's south east order vests for weddings, Eid, formals and everyday wear. Send a photo of the style you like and we will quote the make.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked

Can you make a vest to match an existing suit?

Yes. Bring the suit and we will match the cloth as closely as possible so the three pieces read as one.

Do you make traditional Afghan waistcoats?

Yes. Embroidered and plain waistcoats to wear over perahan tunban are a regular order.

How long does a custom vest take?

Three to four weeks including one fitting. Group orders need more time.

Can you alter a vest I own?

Yes. Side seams, length and back strap adjustments are quick jobs in the studio.
