The designer story
Hand finishing, precise fitting, an understated eye for proportion
HMN is three generations of family tailors. The craft has been handed from parent to child, and every garment that leaves the workshop carries that lineage. The HMN team has dressed clients for fashion shows, weddings and every kind of special occasion, cutting everything from couture gowns to traditional Afghan dress and classic men's suiting. Their work is defined by hand finishing, precise fitting and an understated eye for proportion. Whether it is a bespoke piece made from your first sketch, a traditional garment made to your measurements, or an alteration that makes a favourite piece fit as it should, the standard is the same: it must fit perfectly and it must last. HMN works from their studio in Officer, Victoria, and welcomes clients from across Melbourne's south-east.
Fit
Every piece is drafted for the person wearing it and adjusted on them at a fitting.
Finish
Hand finishing at the collar, hem, buttonhole and seam, because it lasts longer and looks better.
Honesty
A fixed quote before any work begins, and a plain answer if an alteration is not worth doing.
