A berry-red Kuchi celebration dress built around a square neckline and a gold-threaded square yoke edged in coin trim, with a second row of coins along the gathered waist seam. The wide sleeves finish in bands of green, red and gold geometric embroidery with coins hanging from each cuff. The full skirt carries a broad green band, deep rows of diamond embroidery and a purple band at the floor-length hem, and a green head scarf with an embroidered border completes the set. Dress and scarf are custom tailored to your measurements.

Made to measure

Every piece starts with a consultation at the studio in Officer, where we talk through the design, the fabric and your date. We take your measurements and cut to them, then fit the piece once or twice before it is finished.

Typical timeline: Four to eight weeks, depending on the embroidery, mirror work and trims. Bridal gowns need three months.

Bring the shoes and undergarments you will wear with it, so the length and fit are set correctly.

Fabric and care

Made in the fabric you choose, for example a cotton blend, a crepe or a matte polyester. Embroidered pieces with metal coin trim are dry clean only, and the coins are best wrapped in tissue for storage.
