Ivory bridal gown with Afghan embroidery

Custom made. Price on request.

A modern ivory bridal gown with a close-fitting body that flares into a trumpet skirt and a sweep train. A panel of traditional embroidery in red, green, gold and black covers the bodice from the round neckline and ends in a scalloped lace edge, and the same diamond motifs run the length of both fitted sleeves. The rest of the gown is left plain so the line stays clean. The fitted line depends on an exact fit, so it is custom tailored to your measurements.

Made to measure

Every piece starts with a consultation at the studio in Officer, where we talk through the design, the fabric and your date. We take your measurements and cut to them, then fit the piece once or twice before it is finished.

Typical timeline: Four to eight weeks, depending on the embroidery, mirror work and trims. Bridal gowns need three months.

Bring the shoes and undergarments you will wear with it, so the length and fit are set correctly.

Fabric and care

Made in the fabric you choose, for example a crepe, a mikado or a stretch satin-finish fabric. Embroidered gowns are dry clean only and are best kept in a breathable cover to protect the ivory.
