A red brocade saree blouse woven with a gold floral lattice across the whole surface, with narrow gold pinstripes running down the centre front panels. The sweetheart neckline is cut fairly high, and the elbow-length sleeves end in a woven border band. Seamed panels shape the bodice close, placed to show the brocade, and it finishes at a cropped length. It is custom tailored to your measurements.

Every piece starts with a consultation at the studio in Officer, where we talk through the design, the fabric and your date. We take your measurements and cut to them, then fit the piece once or twice before it is finished.

Typical timeline: One to two weeks for a standard blouse, longer for heavily embellished designs.

Bring the shoes and undergarments you will wear with it, so the length and fit are set correctly.

Fabric and care

Made in the fabric you choose, for example a silk brocade, a banarasi or a jacquard. Brocades are dry clean only, and storing the blouse folded in tissue protects the gold thread.
