A mauve brocade saree blouse with a sweetheart V-neckline and elbow-length sleeves. The bodice is woven with a small gold lattice of dots that shimmers against the mauve, while the sleeves are left plain so the pattern stays on the front. Princess seams and a centre front seam shape the cropped bodice to a close fit. It is custom tailored to your measurements.

Every piece starts with a consultation at the studio in Officer, where we talk through the design, the fabric and your date. We take your measurements and cut to them, then fit the piece once or twice before it is finished.

Typical timeline: One to two weeks for a standard blouse, longer for heavily embellished designs.

Bring the shoes and undergarments you will wear with it, so the length and fit are set correctly.

Fabric and care

Made in the fabric you choose, for example a silk brocade, a banarasi weave or a polyester brocade. Brocades with metallic thread should be dry cleaned.
