A floor-length gown in deep navy velvet with a wide boat neckline and long, fitted sleeves. The bodice is shaped close through the waist, and the skirt eases out gently in an A-line to the floor, letting the dense pile carry the whole look without embellishment. For a smooth line from shoulder to hem, it is custom tailored to your measurements.

Every piece starts with a consultation at the studio in Officer, where we talk through the design, the fabric and your date. We take your measurements and cut to them, then fit the piece once or twice before it is finished.

Typical timeline: Most dresses take three to five weeks from the first measurement, including one fitting.

Bring the shoes and undergarments you will wear with it, so the length and fit are set correctly.

Fabric and care

Made in the velvet you choose, for example a silk velvet, a cotton velvet or a stretch polyester velvet. Velvet is dry clean only, and hanging rather than folding avoids pressure marks on the pile.
